Do you like to organize and plan events? Are you creative? Do you have a passion for animal rescue, but are unable to foster or adopt.
Then why not join our fundraising team? Vet bills are always mounting and adoption fees never fully cover the cost of care for our cats.
We will hold a number of fundraising events throughout the year and help is always needed. Getting involved with fundraising events can be an extremely rewarding way to lend a hand to the rescue.
The fundraising team is always in search of new and engaging ways to raise funds. If you would like to take part in the planning, development and organization of fundraising events, we have a job for you.
You could be part of a group that decides which events to hold, how to execute them and participate in the preparation and groundwork. Even if you are unable to participate in the planning, development and organization of events, we always need volunteers on event days to sell items, help with tasks and speak passionately about the rescue to potential supporters.
Volunteering at events is on an as-needed basis and can vary from a few hours to an eight hour day. Help is also required to advertise the event and spread the word to family and friends to ensure a great turnout.

Since our Charity began in November 2024, we have rehomed 606 cats, helping our gorgeous cats find their purrfect Meow and Furevers... An astonishing number in just 29 months. Rescues ideally shouldn't be needed, but whilst we are, we will always tirelessly help as many felines as we can ✅ ✅ ✅
Finances have to be juggled naturally and we try our best to never beg or plead, but also respect that we aren't in this alone. Here are some great ways that you could potentially help... ⏩ ⏩ ⏩
>Gift Aid:
Gift Aid is a simple way to give our rescue an extra boost at no cost to you. If you’re a UK taxpayer, you can allow us to claim a little extra from HM Revenue & Customs on your donation, turning every pound into even more help for the cats in our care. It’s an easy way to add an extra layer of support, helping us provide food, shelter, and vital veterinary treatment for cats who need it most 💞
In the 25/26 tax year we were able to claim back £1,592.21. This is massive, especially as we only have officially 8 gift aiders registered. The figure is boosted by the GASDS system for claiming back on smaller donations.
>Standing Orders:
Some very lovely hoomans have already setup monthly standing orders, which automatically trickle through each month giving us the boost we often need. A standing order can be for any amount, and if you wanted to just setup one for £1 per month, that would be a huge support. Just imagine.... All 2800 followers doing the same.....that's £2,800 per month for just a £1 donation. We hate to beg for money and have always prided ourselves in going the extra mile to ensure we have the reserves needed for any rainy day we experience. 🌧️

Volunteering
In addition to the above, there are a number of other volunteer opportunities available to ensure the rescue continues to run smoothly. If you are not interested in any of the opportunities listed, but think you have a talent or skill you would like to share, please contact us and I’m sure we can find a way to put your donated time to good use. Here are just a few examples of opportunities that occur behind the scenes:
Drivers can be required to transport our cats from foster homes to vet appointments. Volunteers are also occasionally needed to pick up cats from surrenders or rescuers in the community.
Writers and editors are required to get the word out about Meow and Furever Cat Rescue. This could be in the form of producing teaching or learning documents, blog posts, articles about our special animals, or assisting with social media posting.
